What now?

At Andrews this semester has gone by so fast, it just seems like the semester just started and BAM! we are now in the middle of November with only a few weeks left. I have really enjoyed my photography class that I have this semester. Since my last post with pictures from my Motion assignment, I have done Composition and Repetition, Portraits, and 3 Part series.

Thanks to Julie, Elkid, and Jenna for being my models.

Oh and for work, I did not know how serious some people are for bagging groceries. I got second place at the store that I work at, and went to the Martin's Bagging Finals. Lets just say that going first was not the best thing for me, but at least the person that I went against got third so I don't feel to bad about that.

Something that has been keeping me going here lately is seeing friends on campus, even though I don't see them much, although I wish I could spend more time with them. Also a verse in the Bible has made me think on how powerful God really is and how caring He is towards us, Isaiah 65:24 "And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear."

So remember that He will hear you, when you talk to Him.

A Different View

I never knew how bad my pictures were until now that I am in this Digital Photography class here at Andrews University.  I have learned so much with in the first few months of the class, my picture are turning out much better that before and there is still plenty of room for improvement.  The link here is just a few of them https://www.facebook.com/media/set/set=a.10150842010385394.745862.855780393&l=3b6a5872ee&type=1, but searching with in my albums you can find a few more for this semester and more to come later on with each assignment.

So the other day the topic of bucket list some how came up and so here are a few things that I would like to add to my never made "Bucket List"

  • Go Skydiving
  • Be a Missionary
  • Drive a Motorcycle
  • Own an iPhone
  • Go Rock Climbing
  • Drive a really fast car
  • Work at an Apple Store
  •  Fly in a plane
  • Graduate from College
Here are just a few things off the top of my head for right now.

God has sure blessed me with good friends, a place to live, a job, and a great university to go to learn and meet other learning and seeking for God.

WOSE and Volunteering

WOW! WOSE = Week of Spiritual Emphasis is a total week of chapels every day, every evening, music, and an exciting, funny, hilarious speaker named Iki Taimi. Also great times to hang out with AWESOME friends too, while trying to keep up with all your class they the shorten and move up time wise in the morning so everyone can be a chapels every day.

Volunteering, a person who freely offers to take part in an enterprise or undertake a task. This semester I am helping out by volunteering for a few things from the PMC Media Team, sound and cameras to After school program at a local high school. Not just to get my "hours" in for a class where I need at least ten hours of volunteer work in the semester, but to do this because it is fun and I enjoy doing the work. Even though I may have to get up really early or help someone with some difficult problems. It is all for making their life more easier and enjoyable.

Also to through something random out, playing the guitar can somewhat numb the end of your finger and you can feel them like you normally can. At time throughout the day I think to myself what is wrong with my fingers and why are they numb like. Then I remember............... ohhh, you are learning guitar and it is from that (its a strange feeling to have).

Why So Much Going?

So since moving back to MI for college I have found out many things in the past month. First is that time zone can have a small or great affect on people. It has had a major affect on my sleeping (the sun comes up way to late and goes down late).

College life is going good, very busy trying to keep up with all my class and work. So far doing good. Meeting a lot of good friend and keeping in touch with those awesome friends from Camp Wakonda that also go here at AU. By seeing them they keep me going each day, Thanks to all of you. Oh and throughout this past month it seems like almost everything that I do or see relates to camp some how through music, different activities, things said by people. I do not know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

I started back a Martin's Super Market working a couple days a week not much but enough to make some money for food and a little gas in the car, as prices of gas keep changing and going up it seems.
As it is now the day after the Ten Anniversary of Spet. 11, 2001, when the Towers were hit and the world was changed, reading a post from a person yesterday about there memory of it, saying that gas was under $2.00. If only I could pay that much or even $3.00 would be nice.

But God has given me plenty to make due on by being back at Martin's, taking classes at AU, and friends to keep me going throughout the day and the week.

Summer and AU

This summer I worked at Camp Wakonda, in Wisconsin. This was my second year there, and a great one at that. Made a lot of great new friends and became even closer to those who came back from last year. This year I taught model rockets again and was a climbing wall assistant, to Jo Jo who was pretty much awesome to work with in the afternoons. To sum it all up I went horse back riding bare back several times, went banana boating, blobbed/blobbing, climbed the wall and giant swing(ed). Can't wait to see what happens for me next year.

College started this past Monday, August 22. After being financially cleared I was set to go to my first class. The weather here in Berrien Springs has been great with temperatures from the 60s-90s degree Fahrenheit. But now with almost the first week of classes down, I know it will get a little harder from here. From studying and staying in contacted with friends, but I know that God will help me when I ask him to get me through the tuff times and the good times also.
